this pretty block for the bee germany group was a very hard task for me to do. not the sewing that much (although it is not perfectly sewn, mind you) but creating the right sized pattern for it.
my testblock turned out just fine
but after finding out the size was not right all my flow was gone -
i should have take a sip of this i guess instead of nearly throwing it all away.
instead Ulrike did a great job helping me to find my way back to this nice block (which i truely loathed at times..).
she made a wonderful tutorial how to cut the middle pieces of the star and with this great help i could finally do it.
so thanks again a million, Ulrike, for keeping me going and solving this puzzle with me!

ReplyDeletedein Block schaut super aus, vor allem die Kombi, neutrale Farbe mit Kaffe Fassett, das fetzt!!! Ich kann mir gar nicht vorstellen, dass die Größenermittlung so schwer war, zumindest das ist beim Handnähen kein Problem...mit der Maschine sieht das natürlich anders aus ;-) Schön, dass dir geholfen wurde!!!

ReplyDeleteLiebe Silke, das Flow hab ich mal in einem Kunst-Laden in Copenhagen gekauft - ganz vermutlich ist es in gasförmigem Zustand in der Flasche, sie ist jedenfalls sehr leicht und ich habe sie noch nie aufgemacht! vielleicht mal beim nächsten flow-bedarfsfall.. :-)
